We look forward to welcoming you to Bacolod and want to ensure your travel experience is smooth and well coordinated.

Clients are responsible for arranging their own flights to Bacolod City, Philippines. Bacolod is accessed via a domestic flight from Manila. The flight time from Manila to Bacolod is approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

International travellers will arrive in Manila first before transferring to a domestic flight to Bacolod. We recommend allowing sufficient time between international and domestic flights to accommodate immigration, baggage collection, and terminal transfers if required.

To assist us with planning your arrival, we kindly ask that you provide a copy of your flight itinerary once confirmed.

This allows us to:

  • Confirm your accommodation details.
  • Arrange airport transfers to and from the hotel.

All travellers must complete the Electronic Travel Declaration within 72 hours prior to arrival in the Philippines.

The declaration can be completed online at https://etravel.gov.ph/

You will need the following information to complete the form:

  • Passport details
  • Flight information
  • Hotel accommodation details

We recommend completing this as soon as you fall within the 72 hour window to avoid any delays.

Please advise us of any dietary requirements, allergies, or food restrictions in advance. This will allow us to plan meals appropriately and ensure you are well looked after throughout your stay in Bacolod.

Sharing these details early helps us make the necessary arrangements so you can enjoy your visit comfortably and with confidence.

Headshot Photo:

Upon arrival at the Pathcutters office, you’ll be issued  with a security pass. Our on-site security team will check this pass each time you enter a level of the building.

To prepare your security pass in advance, we will request a recent headshot photo prior to your arrival. Please ensure the photo:

  • Is clear and taken from the front.
  • Has a plain background.
  • Clearly shows your face.

Security Procedures:

As part of our information security and ISO 27001 requirements, all visitors are required to sign a visitor mobile device usage and security waiver upon entry to the office. The waiver outlines expectations for the use of personal electronic devices while on-site and helps protect the confidentiality, privacy, and security of our people, clients, and systems.

Affordable Staff (Pathcutters) maintains a professional dress code to ensure a respectful and consistent environment for team members, clients, and visitors.

The dress code applies to all staff, management, clients, contractors, and business visitors while on our premises.

Our Standards of Dress:

  • Professional and Presentable: Wear business casual or smart casual attire. Clothing should be clean, neat, and free from holes, tears, or visible wear.
  • Respectful: Clothing with offensive, inappropriate, or suggestive images or wording is not permitted.
  • Modest: Outfits should not be overly revealing.
  • Inclusive: Clothing and grooming choices that are required for religious or cultural reasons are fully respected.

Please note that the office can be cool due to air conditioning, so you may wish to bring a light jacket or layer.

To keep everyone informed and connected, we will set up a WhatsApp group for the duration of your visit.

WhatsApp is a free messaging and calling app that allows text messages, voice and video calls, and the sharing of images, documents, and updates.

This group will be used to:

  • Share schedule updates or changes.

  • Send reminders and important alerts.

  • Communicate general information during your stay.

You can download WhatsApp from the Apple Store and Google Playstore prior to arrival

Organised Transport:

  • We will supply transport for all planned day trips and for dinner events.

Independent Travel Options:

  • Grab (Similar to Uber)
There are several options available for your to travel around the city. The easiest option to explore the city hassle-free is to download the Grab app for free on the Apple Store and Google Playstore. Grab is similar to Uber, which you can use for travel and to order food/groceries to be delivered.
  • Taxis:
The hotel concierge can assist with arranging a taxi if required, and taxi ranks are commonly located at shopping malls and major locations. If flagging down a taxi independently, please ensure the driver understands your destination before departure and that the meter is used.

Unlike Australia, tipping is customary in the Philippines and generally expected in many situations, including dining out, taxi rides, hotel services, and room service.

As a general guide:

  • Small services such as short taxi rides, room service, or baggage assistance typically attract a tip of around 50 pesos.

  • For longer trips or exceptional service, a tip of around 100 pesos is common.

For group activities and group dining, we will manage the group tipping on your behalf.

We recommend carrying small denominations of cash. If needed, we can assist with arranging local currency on day one.

Visa ATM cards are accepted in Bacolod, however bank transaction fees can be high. Our usual approach is to exchange a small amount of pesos prior to departure, approximately 5,000 to 10,000 pesos, and then withdraw additional funds from local ATMs if required. ATMs are available at Ayala Shopping Centre, which is within walking distance of the hotel.

Three major shopping malls are within close proximity  of the office and hotel. Spa Natura, a day spa, is also available for those wishing  to relax, with appointments bookable through the SEDA Hotel Front Desk.

You will also find a wide range of nearby coffee shops and dining options to explore during your free time. We will provide you with a booklet on arrival containing all of our recommendations.
